2025 | The P28 association presents a large format exhibition that takes place simultaneously in seven Portuguese cities and runs from April to October 2025. The concept of outdoor’25 is simple, instead of hanging artwork on the typical white wall, the works of Cláudia R. Sampaio, Edson Chagas, Isabel Baraona, Isabel Simões, José Maçãs de Carvalho, Luísa Cunha and Pedro Valdez Cardoso will be displayed on advertising billboards across the country in Lisbon, Faro and Coimbra. Setúbal, Évora, Viseu and Viana do Castelo.

Invited by Ricardo Castro, who developed a pedagogical project entitled Big Bang (2023-2024), at ESAD.CR, I created two large linoleums (100X70 cm). Excerpt of the presentation text: “I like the ritual nature of printmaking, you draw and you carve, brush and clean, paint, print, start again. There is (almost) a brute force aspect handling some tools, which can contrast with the delicacy needed when printing and, off course, handeling the paper. And there is a focused experimentation, from a single matrix we can obtain a variety of results depending on the paper and ink. A Big Bang of possibilities.”
