Os livros de cores (The books of colors) was developed in the context of my PHD in Visual Arts and Intermedia in UPValência, under the theme Self-portrait and self-representation: an experimentation territory and a change of paradigm in the xx century. Os livros de cores is a set of five books : o livro azul (blue book), O livro branco or is this me?, Livro negro (black book), Livro Vermelho (Red book), Livro de graphite (grafite book). In each volume there is a specific narrative but some drawings that are repeated with subtle variations within the books. The number of drawings done largely surpasses those included in the books, and they have been widely exhibited in solo and group shows. The drawings can be organized in a different logic of those adopted for the books and are related with two more moto’s a mão que desenha escreve a palavra (the hand that draws write the words) and estórias e rabiscos (stories and doodles).
